At Frock & Frill we value the strong relationship with our skilled embroiderers in India. We have been working with many of the same embroiderers for years and we are always on the lookout for talented people to add their mark to our signature Frock & Frill pieces.
Each day an embroiderer will learn new techniques and skills as well as practising existing ones. This method of working provides each embroiderer with a lifetime of learning their craft and perfecting it. It is not uncommon to learn these skills from a young age within the family, developing traditional techniques that are embedded in their culture.
A typical embroiderer will have been practicing their craft for between 10-20 years. It is a delicate art that produces beautifully detailed work.
A piece of embroidery for our dresses usually takes between 10-15 days to produce. This is not fast fashion, this is slow skilled work. We care about the people that we work with and we value their craft. We are always excited to see our designs being produced through such a slow and nurtured process.
